My little girls keep me busy, but I always find time to sneak away to the craft room. I am dabbling in many mediums to find my true calling (but I have an inkling it will always involve fabric)...

I had a blast at Earthstock yesterday! The weather was beautiful, I saw tons of smiling familiar and new faces, ate some good food, and just enjoyed the day. I want to thank all of you who came to support me, it was a successful show for me because of you! I’ll definitely be back at Earthstock next year. Well… as long as its not too close to a new birth in the family. ;)
Here’s a photo of the full booth. My hubby helped me make the big poster of my jellyfish. They’re made from post consumer plastic bottles! I had a few of the jellyfish hanging around the tent, I just love the way it looked!

My bottle cap magnets and keychains, tin can magnets, some bead bowls, and wrapper keychains.

Hair clips, bead bowls, JuNk PiNs, bottle cap necklaces, etc

My friend’s Jen and Marla helped me out with the show. I was so happy to have their help! I would not have been able to do it without them!

Jen made the hemp wrapped jars, Marla made soda can earrings, necklaces, and charm bracelets. You can also see here my vintage sheet cuffs, plastic bottle charm bracelets, pull tab bracelets, and vintage sheet purses.

Here’s a close up of Marla’s soda can jewelry.

Here’s a close up of Jen’s hemp wrapped jars. All of the jars were recycled, as well as most of the beads she used!

My newest, and most favorite item right now: vintage sheet scarf necklaces! You can wrap them around your neck, or tie them in your hair. I had one displayed on my finished bust that I made.

Now that my shows are over, I can focus on filling up my Etsy shop, and creating more new and exciting goodies. :) I’ll also be working on more pieces for my upcoming art show this fall. I’m excited as to where this road will lead me!

Looks like Sunday’s weather isn’t going to agree with us. :( So, Earthstock is being postponed to next Sunday, May 2. I guess this means I have no excuse for running out of time finishing up the last of my goodies! lol Back to work I go…

We had a blast at the Beardsley Zoo fair yesterday! It took us quite a while to set up since it was our first show together, my first outdoor show, and my first show with more than one table! lol I think it came out great though. But of course my camera’s battery decided to die; so I was only able to snap a couple photos. :( I’ll be sure to charge the battery for my show next week at Earthstock!

Look closely and you’ll see my bottle cap magnets, bottlecap necklaces, bottle cap keychains, recycled wrapper key chains, vintage sheet hair bows, cuffs, and scarf necklaces, fabric mushrooms, JuNk pins, recycled bead bowls, upcycled plastic charm bracelets, Marla’s soda can bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, Jen’s hemp wrapped jars, and more! This whole collection will be up on my new Twiddle Lee Etsy shop soon! :)
OH, and you could also see in the last photo my finished bust I’ve been telling you about!

I’m packing up for the zoo! Come visit me at the Beardsley Zoo for their “Party for the Planet”. Their Earth Day event is about encouraging local, organic, earth-friendly choices as a way of promoting better health for our planet and ourselves. Environmentally friendly vendors will be on hand with everything from green cleaning products and recycled fashion accessories to better lawn care for you and wildlife! New this year – Citizen Science Corner – learn how to get involved. Enjoy eco-music at Noon at the Peacock Pavilion. Come learn what you can do to make the planet a healthier place for you and your family. I’ll be setting up shop with my recycled accessories this Sunday April 18th from 10-3pm. See you there!

I have successfully finished my first show as Twiddle-Lee this past Saturday! It was so much fun; I can’t wait to do more shows! I’m already scouting out shows for next year. ;0) So anyway, I decided to make my first show a small easy one for practice – I picked out a nice church fair in Berlin. I was lucky to get the best table spot in the whole show – right near the kitchen and lounge area in the largest room. I did pretty good for such a small show. Everyone was attracted to my cupcakes; they all had to come over and see if they were real! lol My daughter joined me too.. she made some button jewelry, a few paintings, and ornaments. It was great to spend some time with her and do a team effort; we had a blast! Here’s some pics from the show:

Miss Penelope with her goodies! I love her button bracelets, I made her make one for me too! he he Visit her site at: www.SweetPeaArt.com

My new “Munchies”! Each pillow monster has a pocket mouth to hide toys, treasures, or to hold their babies!

Bottle Cap Necklaces & Magnets… yeah, I know… these are all over the place now; but remember I was one of the first who started them back in 2001! lol Penelope made the cool Americana pins and the starfish painting. :)

I’ve been really excited about these new goodies… JuNk PiNs!! Each pin is made from candy wrappers, junk mail, magazines, and other junk!
See the little snowman head peaking out in the corner? I only had eight of those… and sold out in the first hour of the show! It’s always the things you have the least of that sells the quickest! lol
All my new goodies will be available through my new website www.TwiddleLee.com shortly, so be sure to sign up for the mailing list on my site. I’ll be working hard within the next few weeks taking pics, writing descriptions, listing them on Etsy, and hopefully working on the final layout of the website. In between Christmas shopping & crafting of course! ;0) he he
